Problems arising from updating from wordpress 4.8 to 5.8

  • My web designer updated the three-year-old WordPress version to the latest 5.8 on our website. But it has created complications while posting the stories: how to shift between visual/text, how to embed pictures (because Add media is missing), etc. Can anybody guide?
