• This plugin used to work flawlessly, but after the latest upgrade (version 1.2.3), I’ve noticed that every time I edit a post, it re-posts it to Facebook. I went onto my FB page one day and saw many duplicates of the same posts and traced it back to about the time I installed the upgrade. On another site with the older version, I have not had this problem. Really hope this gets fixed in future versions; it seems like it should be basic functionality to not keep re-posting something when it’s edited.

Otherwise I’ve been very happy with the plugin and I like the format it uses in the FB posts. It will automatically capture a featured image, for example, and include that prominently in the FB post which I think helps draw more users into the article.

  • Please go to your Facebook Auto Publish-> settings-> check “Default selection of auto publish while editing posts/pages=No”.

The issue related to scheduled posts had been fixed long back.
But the fix was not compatible with certain wp installations

So we had to rewrite the solution.
In the new version settings page you have a configuration ‘Enable “future_to_publish” hook’

For normal working of scheduled post it must be set to “yes”
If you are experiencing double posting after turning it on, then make it “no”
Either one of these should solve all your problems
