Problems after integrating wordress into my existing site
-
I have integrated a wordpress blog into my existing website using step by step instructions that I found at https://www.burnseo.com/blog/2009/10/23/integrate-wordpress-into-existing-website-tutorial/. Everything went pretty well but now there are some issues that I can’t figure out.
The website is: https://www.jillgrovemezzo.com/wordpress
- 1.When I click on a post title, the link seems to be broken. It takes me to a 404Error page. I assume it should be linked to a single page post. I do have a single.php page in the template but am not sure why it is not being utilized.
- 2.The links on my navigation menu are wrong. For instance, when someone clicks on the “repertoire” button, it should take them to https://www.jillgrovemezzo.com/rep.htm. However, it takes them to https://www.jillgrovemezzo.com/wordpress/rep.htm which is a page that doesn’t exist.
- 3.I can’t seem to figure out how to adjust the css now that the blog is integrated. I changed the css files in dreamweaver and I changed the files in the editor in the wordpress but they don’t seem to take affect. The changes I want to make are:
- a.Change all the link colors to black rather than grey
- b.Remove the padding from the sidebar so that the bulleted lists are not indented so much and the search box fits into the sidebar
Lastly, how can I remove some of the links in the sidebar? I would prefer not to have the “Meta” links at all. I also noticed that I am not able to add any widgets because it says that my blog doesn’t have a sidebar. But it does, doesn’t it?
Any help will be appreciated! And I would appreciate detailed instruction.
Thanks,
Regina
