• Hi,

I am looking for some advice on a problem I am having with adding HTML code to a Page and if anyone can point me in the right direction I’d appreciate it:

Situation: I use 1Shoppingcart.com and want to integrate an e mail capture form (linked to autorsponders) into a page. I also want to add another form on a separate page to capture questions. The problems I am having are common to both requirements.

Problem: First of all when I posted the code into the pages the “submit” Button part of the form disappeared when saving either page. After a bit of playing around I figured that it was something to do with the formatting html produced by 1 shoppingcart so I simplified the code to take out the formatting and got the form to remain intact and functional.

Then whilst trying to sort out the layout I encountered a problem in the page in that when I went to save, (or continue editing and save) nothing would happen. All I’d get at the bottom LHS of the browser was the word “done” and a yellow exclamation mark. This was in version 2.0 of WP. Then I discovered that something seemed to have happened to the page editing facility because when I returned to the page after logging out and back in again, this remained the same.

I thought it was something to do with the version so I upgraded to 2.04 and had the same thing occur. I did get the form to function once but when I edited it the page editing facility seemed to stop working. As an interesting occurrence, at one point the “submit” button appeared as part of the page editing page i.e outside of the editable range window – even if I adjusted its size.

Now I seem to have “broken” the page editing function of WP.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of what to do please? I am not a programmer but do have a technical background and so am not afraid of getting in amongst code.

Alternatively is there a way that I can have my readers post a question to me and a way of having them subscribe to a free course provided by autoresponder?
Any advice is warmly and gratefully received.

    Michael
