    I have a few problems activating the plugin

    1 –
    Notice: Undefined variable: wpdb in /home/XXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-login-attempt-log/login-attempt-log.php on line 23
    Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/XXX/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-login-attempt-log/login-attempt-log.php on line 23

    Those two disapear setting wpdb as a global in login-attempt-log.php start

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/emop/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-login-attempt-log/lal-settings-init.php on line 159

    No idea how to solve this one.

    What may I do to solve it?

    The new version uses the PHP array syntax for PHP 5.4 and later, you’ll have to downgrade to 1.2.x or wait for a new version.

    Note that using PHP 5.3 is very insecure and exploitable, you should really convince your host to upgrade.
