I have a problem with special characters.
    Letters like à è ì ò ù are displayed with ?
For example Società is displayed Societ?
In my pages I use charset=UTF-8

Hope you can give me a tip as soon as possible.

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

When does this happen? Did you import the table data? From where and in which format?
Does the font that your theme uses support all these characters?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
    thanks for your quick answer.

It happens when I import an .xls file
I import it inside wordpress in the correct format (.xls)
If I see the source of the page I see instead of à è ì ò ù only ? so I think is something related to the import system.
    The font support spacial characters.

    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance

P.S.: is there an add on or something to give me the option to show/hide every column?

    Hi,

this is then likely caused by the .xls import. It’s not the most robust system, especially with special characters.
Therefore, please try saving the table to a .csv file in Excel and then import that into TablePress.

For the question with the Extension: I’m not really sure what you mean here. Could you clarify this?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

thank you so much, I will try to change format and see what happen, I will let you know.

For the second question, I mean any kind of command to show/hide columns. For Example a button with label (Manage Columns) that explode a box with so many checkbox as many are columns. They are all checked but if user want to hide one or more columns can uncheck them…

Hope you can understand what I mean.

    Hi,

thanks for the explanation! For this, you could use the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/datatables-buttons/ which offers a button so that the user can choose the column visibility.

    Hi,

unfortunately, I’ll have to disappoint you here. I can not offer customization services at the moment, simply because I don’t have enough time. Sorry.

    Regards,
    Tobias
