Problem writing to files

    Hi,

    I receive the following errors even when trying to do manual backups.

    There was a problem writing your sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable.
    There was a problem writing your zipped sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable.

    Both files are there are were built originally by the plugin and I’ve changed their permissions as in the help.

    One thing I noticed is that I’m using custom menus now and the location of the xml file map was wrong with auto detection.

    Could this be causing an issue somewhere?
    I’ve used this for ages without any problems but I’m building a new site with custom menus. My existing sites (without custom menus) do not have a problem and run manually.

    It turns out that in the general settings I had ‘/home’ at then end of the wordpress domain. This made the settings think that the sitemap should be in directory home which didn’t exist.

    Once I’d sorted that out, created the files manually in notepad and loaded them, performed a manual rebuild it all seems to be working for the manual rebuild.

    After I’ve made some changes I’ll check whether the auto rebuild is working.
