• This is an odd and specific problem. I have a nice google xml sitemap, and I wanted to have an xhtml one for other searches. I’m using this plugin by Pearsonified: https://www.pearsonified.com/2006/12/use_an_xhtml_sitemap_for_better_indexing.php

He recommends labeling the slug for the sitemap page, “sitemap”. However, if I do, the page cannot be found. Yes, I save the page with the slug “sitemap” and the page cannot be found. If I name it site-map, it’s find and the glorious sitemap shows. But searches look for the page called “sitemap” not site-map, so you see my problem.

To trouble shoot, I’ve made SURE there are no other files called sitemap in the theme directory of my blog.

If ANYONE in the known universe has any idea why this is happening, please let me know.
