    Hi @darfil,

Disable Google Maps a service under Complianz – Integrations, as we hook to the privacy module of WP Google Maps, please make sure these privacy settings are off as well.

    regards Aert

    Hi Aert,
Google Maps service is already disabled.

What do you mean with “please make sure these privacy settings are off as well”?

    Thank you

    Hi @darfil

WP Google Maps has its own privacy/GDPR settings that Complianz hooks into.

If you want to fully disable the placeholder & requiring consent before the map loads, you will have to disable the GDPR setting within the WP Google Maps plugin itself as well.

    Kind regards,

    Hi,
the wp google maps plugin says:

    ——-

Important Note: GDPR consent automatically enabled and configured by Complianz

WP Google Maps GDPR options have been disabled as they are fully controlled by Complianz

    ——–

So the problem is in complianz settings. Can you help me?

    Hi @darfil,

If you had already disabled the Integration with WP Google Maps (Complianz > Integrations > Plugins > WP Google Maps), but the “GDPR Compliance” page in WP Google Maps still displays the “options controlled by Complianz…” notice, you can disable the option with a workaround.

    1. Verify that WP Google Maps integration is disabled in Complianz > Integrations
    2. Navigate to Maps > Settings > GDPR Compliance.
    3. Right-click the text label “Require consent before loading Maps API” > Inspect element.
    4. In the Inspect Element screen: click the checkbox element (just below the text label), remove the word “checked” and press Enter. Screenshots below:
    Screenshot 1 (before the change)
    Screenshot 2 (after the change)
    5. The checkbox should now be unchecked, click the “Save Settings” button on the bottom of the page.

The GDPR compliance functionality should now be disabled.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno
