Problem with widgets – Please Help

  • Hi there,

    I am having problems with my widgets. Every time I drag a widget over to the sidebar and then go back and look at my site, the widget appears in the sidebar but everything else has been removed.

    Does anybody know why this goes on?

    Sure my side currently has an opt in for, pages section, archives section and categories section.

    If I go into the backend and drag a widget to the right into the sidebar, then the above disappear.

    Yep. That is normal behavior. If you put the widgets, the pre-coded sidebar elements will disappear.

    The solution is use widgets for the “opt-ins” too. You have widgets for display of list of pages, categories, archives etc. Use them You can also configure them.
