    Since the last update (5.4.2) my blog isn′t working 100 %. On a small screen it′s shows as i should , I have latest posts as start and the 6 last posts. On small screens it is shown as 2 columns and 3 rows, on bigger screens it changes to 3 columns and 2 rows and the post disaperes. If I make the size of the window smaller they apperar when the width down allow 3 columns.

    I haven′t had this problem before the update, tested blog withuot plugins and still the same thing happens.
    Any one else having this problem or have a sollution? I love using Dyad-2 as my foodblog.

    Thank you in advance
    Roger

  • Hi Roger, I’m trying to duplicate this on my tests site, but have had no luck just yet.

    Can you use the Health Check plugin to see whether another plugin might be conflicting? You can disable the plugins one at a time to test, without affecting the live site.

    Thanks for that, we’re more interested if you still see this issue, even if you temporarily disable all plugins. If there’s a conflict, you would not see the issue when all plugins are disabled. Then, you would enable each plugin, one at a time, refreshing after each to check when the problem reappears. That way, you would find the culprit.

    Thread Starter rodgevbg

    (@rodgevbg)

    Ok. I didn’t think that could be the case. I thought if I disabled them all the problem would disapear and when it still existed with all disabled it would be without problems.
    I think I can get the time to check this later tonight.

    Thread Starter rodgevbg

    (@rodgevbg)

    When I disable all plugins there is no difference, om my 23″ screen (where it normally is 2 rows and 3 columns) posts doesn′t show. If I reduce the width of the browser (still the same monitor) the posts will show in 3 rows with 2 colums.

    Full width 23″
    Same monitor not full width on browser

    These two pics are from as right now with all plugins disabled, same issue as with them on. This proble appeared after the last update of WP (5.4.2).
    I can try activating one by one, but I don′t think iyt will be any different.

    I changed it back to Dyad if someone wants to give it a try and I ran a test with activating a plugin at a time with no luck ??

    Have you modified the theme in any way?

    Thread Starter rodgevbg

    (@rodgevbg)

    No I run it as is from the download here

    Hm, I can’t access your site or the screenshots now, not sure if you’re sunning into any global issues with the site at the moment?

    Thread Starter rodgevbg

    (@rodgevbg)

    Checked it five minutes ago and it was long loadtime. Checked again right now and it loaded right up

    Ah, it works correctly now.
    It’s odd. I’m not able to reproduce this on my test site so it must be some local issue but I’m having problems to pinpoint what it could be.
    On your site, it seems that the posts disappear on screens wider than 1585px.
    Could you try to temporarily activate another theme (like Twenty Twenty), remove Dyad 2 completely, and then install it again?
    Let me know if anything changes.

    Thread Starter rodgevbg

    (@rodgevbg)

    I’ll try this later tonight when I’m Home from work. Thank you in advance

    Hi @rodgevbg,

    Please try adding the CSS below to the customizer in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, then check if the issue persists.

    .posts .hentry {
    	width: 33.3333%;
    }

    @Automatticians:

    I think the problem might be this rule in Dyad 2.0.9’s CSS file. The width uses a comma instead of a period:

    .posts .hentry {
    	background: #fff;
    	float: left;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	position: relative;
    	width: 33,3333%;
    }

    In version 2.0.8 on Github, it seems to correctly use a period:
    https://github.com/Automattic/themes/blob/master/dyad-2/style.css#L1624

    Thank yoy @gary-barrett and thank you all for your help.

    Adding that code fixed it.

    You’re welcome, glad I could help ??
