    Hello,

My site with a premium WordPress theme “Specular” doesn’t work properly after the last Yoast SEO update to v3.3.0.

The problem is that the Visual Composer doesn’t work in the backend anymore. I believe there might be the same problem with other themes that use Visual Composer.

I fixed it by downgrading to 3.2.5.

  • Thank you Joost, all working now.
Really appreciated the quick fix! ??

OK, this is strange: I updated 3.3.1 and still got the white screen in the Visual editor. So I clicked on the Text tab to switch to Text editor (just wanted to see that the content was still there) and then back to Visual and the content is now displaying.

But this needs to be done every time I go in to edit a page or post – the Visual editor content is not displaying automatically. When I deactivated the plugin, it does display automatically.

Just updated to 3.3.1 and has the same bug as whatachamp.

I updated to 3.3.1 2 days ago, and it broke my site in a similar manner to the above. It’s taken me a while to track down what the culprit was.

I’m running the Modernize theme, and it broke its page builder elements. It also hosed a number of the plugin configuration pages for Updraft Plus. Disabling Yoast 3.3.1 fixed these problems.

On the WP back end UI, the following errors were appearing for both the Modernize Page Builder elements and the Updraft Plus backup plugin:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in ../wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 632

and a similar message related to ../wp/live/wp-admin/includes/wp-db.php
