Problem with v3 recaptcha

  • Hi

    I have tried implementing v3 of recaptcha and am getting a form submission error. I put in the site key and secret key, however it seems that the site key shows incorrectly in the header after render-:

    <script type=’text/javascript’ src=’https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js?render=

    If I remove the keys the form works fine. Is there a way to amend so that the correct site key appears in the header?

    It’s on the contact us but also on other pages. I have just reenabled the Captcha and got the error below:

    There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.

    I’ve just realised it’s in an orange border so it may be an issue with spam recognition…

    What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    It’s the Avada theme which I think may be the issue. I’ve contacted Avada Support and disabled recaptcha for now.

    I don’t think it is a theme issue. I installed v3 on multiple sites today with different themes and I get failures on all of them.

    I think I’ve found the issue. Litespeed cache plugin has been disabled and the form is working again.

    Problem resolved. Added /recaptcha/api.js to JS Excludes in Litespeed settings and then Purged All. Hopefully it works for you too.

    Thanks @prompos123 – I haven’t installed the LiteSpeed plug in. Is there a way to add /recaptcha/api.js to JS Excludes manually?

    My fix applied to Litespeed only. Do you have another caching plugin installed? If so, there is probably a setting that you can add the exclusion just like Litespeed.
