    Hello,

When sending an email with an accented character in the “from” field through WP Mail SMTP, the whole line is scrambled like this:

    From: =?utf-8?b?IsOGcmxlbmQgw5hyc3RhZCIgPHdwQHNpbGVjby5ubz4=?=

The same email sent from the native gmail client, where only the affected characters are replaced:
    From: =?UTF-8?Q?Tim_Marius_=C3=85rvik_Bastiansen?= <[email protected]>

This is causing an issue with our ticketing software which pulls emails from an inbox through IMAP.

Any idea how to fix this?

    Hi @timfosse,

Can you let us know what mailer you are using? Also, to help us look further into this, can you also provide a sample From Email? Our development team is checking this out, and the above information will help.

    Thanks!

    Using SMTP.com

I will see if I can get an example email for you.
