I have a product that is 10.5x6x5in size

According to Medium Flat Rate Box spec, it should fit in since it is below dimensions

    https://store.usps.com/store/browse/uspsProductDetailMultiSkuDropDown.jsp?productId=P_O_FRB1

However, in checkout calculation, it defaults to $17, which corresponds to Large Flat Rate Box.

How is the volume calculation done for flat rate box? is there any way to edit it? It seems to be classifying into different values, and on the Order page , it doesn’t let me select which size to ship the box in.

    2 suggestions
    1) Fixing the volume calculation for Flat Rate Boxes, or allowing user to change it
    2) on Order page, when purchasing labels, give the admin the option to choose which type of shipping label to purchase. The current software forces you to purchase what it thinks is right, but it would be nice to have a display of a few different options that you can choose from directly on the purchase label area.

I can’t for the life of my figure out this shipping system. It makes no sense at all

Just for troubleshooting, since the rates weren’t working at all, I changed a product dimensions to 11x11x11 (bigger than any possible flat rate postage)

Woocommerce services gives this result for shipping

How does that make sense? $12.40 is Medium Flat Rate Box size which is 11×8.5×5.5. There is no way something 11x11x11 could fit in that.

I wanted to update, the interface now allows you to make customs changes, this is 100% better! I am not sure what caused the change, but the system is much more workable now. It lets you correct errors made in the AI caluclation for volume/size to get best package type

    Hello @zanza321,

I’m glad you’re pleased with the shipping label interface changes. We are too.

Are you still experiencing the issue with Flat Rate boxes? I was unable to get any Flat Rates for a cart item that was 11″x11″x11″.
