Hello, I have some problem and I think it happend after using your plugin. All my thumbnails of products are now too large and I can’t resize them. Is it even possible that this is related with your plugin? I can’t find a reason.

    Hi @jordan1990,

    Thank you for contacting us.

When you compressed the images, did you also set the image resizing to specific dimensions? In case you are using WooCommerce, there is a setting that usually is set within the theme to have certain image size or ratio for product thumbnails on shop and single product page. Please verify these as well and let us know how it goes.

As an additional step, you can also look into regenerating the thumbnails as well.

The dimension of Image Resizing is set as default(height – 2560 and weight – 2560).
In woocommerce is also everything as default and when I try to change something, the only change is quality of product, but not dimension. It look like something is blocking a change of dimension. And it happend suddenly after probably using your plugin, or some update of another plugin but I can’t find out. When I turn off everyting and keep only woocomerce and simple theme, thumbnails are still too big.

    Hi @jordan1990

Do you see the issue on the front end?

If so, can you please share the link and we can take a closer look?

Smush won’t change the size of the image, the resize feature will filter the native WordPress function and only work on images larger than the defined size.

Had you checked the WordPress > Settings > Appearance > Woocommerce > Images?

    Check here:
    Example of a product

It looks way too big and I cant change this size.

Had you checked the WordPress > Settings > Appearance > Woocommerce > Images?

Yes and when I change something, nothing is changing. The only thing is different is a quality of the product but dimension is still the same.

    Hi @jordan1990

    Thank you for the link

I don’t believe it is the issue but, could you try to disable the Lazy Load on Smush and check if it makes any difference?

As far I see it doesn’t seem to be a Smush issue, the image is around 600px which won’t be resized by Smush or WordPress using the Resize size.

The image size is being set by Theme or Woo as you can see in the source code, but since it has a CSS cover 100% of the container it will load render 609px size image.

I see you are using the Divi theme, I suggest trying some troubleshooting test.

    – On a Staging website or make a full backup first,
    – Disable all plugins, keep only the theme and Woo
    – Check if the issue is gone, if so, enable one by one until the issue return.

    The complete flow:

If the issue persists after disabling all plugins, please contact the theme support.

Let us know the result you got.
