• I’ve used Thumbnail for Excerpts with one template without any problem. But it’s causing a new problem on different template. It is creating and showing a thumbnail and excerpt on my pages not just posts. I only want it for posts. See https://www.test.reflections-etc.com/clients/ for an example of the problem.

I installed a plugin called Excerpt Editor hoping I could fix the problem with this. It sees the excerpt coding but when I try to delete it, it says there isn’t an excerpt.

Is there a way to tell pages not to show excerpts?

    Thanks

This topic was somehow set on “Resolved”. But it is not. Still having the problem. Thanks.

Having the exact same problem at https://musicyouneed.net (although my pages are currently private). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I contacted the creator of my template to see if he could help. His solution worked in my case. Hope it helps you too. Here’s what he said:

“It looks like the plugin may be using a filter on the excerpt function. The theme uses it to generate page descriptions which normally works fine, but here the filtered content is tagging along and that’s not good.

Here’s what I’d try. On the theme options page, select “no” where it asks to “Include Built In SEO.” Then to replace those functions, install one of the SEO plugins such as WordPress SEO by Yoast or All in One SEO Pack.”

I actually found a different solution, but thank you!
