@webhold Turn on Appearance > Customizer > Speed Optimization > General > Lazyload Images > “Disable Lazyload for Featured Image on Single Posts/Pages”

This will make Soledad use the standard WP featured image system and correctly append captions. Let me know if it works for you!

    Hi Andy,
it works great. I would never have thought of that in my whole life. I have tried to reach Christaan Canover, but it is a very difficult task. Soledad is a good theme, but has an incredible amount of settings.

    Thank you

Glad it helped @webhold, Chrstiaan actually sent me your email, figured I would reply here :). It was an odd issue, basically Soledad overwrites the default WP featured option if you don’t disable that option making it impossible for the plugin to add to the area.

    OK,
that’s very nice. I am happy that it works. I have the Plugin running in 12 Magazine and Blog-sites with thousands of posts. Each post has a picture that can only be published with a copyright notice. There is no chance to edit them all by hand.
But now everything is good. Please tell Christiaan my thanks again.

Awesome! so happy to hear, if you have massive network of sites you might like my other plugin MightyShare.io that generates social share images, just something to consider (I made it originally for my large sites).

    Hi,
in the past we worked with IFTTT – the post goes per RSS to Facebook etc. including the Images. But I will look tomorrow for you solution.

@webhold yeah check it out, your solution works too, this basically just puts your post title on top of the featured image
