Problem with the link View comparison list

When I add a new product to the Comparison list, I get a pop-up with the product list and also backend link View comparison list.
When I am still on the product page and click on the View comparison list link, the pop up is shown again and works fine.
But when I return to all products list in some category, and the View comparison list link is shown above all products, and when I click on it there is no pop up with the comparison list products, but a new page is shown with some error text and numbers.
Same if I go again to the product page of the product I have recently added to the comparison list and click on the View comparison list link.
How I can fix this or if can’t at the moment, how do I remove the View comparison list link.
