    Hi.

I’ve translated the Plugin in Greek Lanquage and named both files PO & MO as email-users-el_EL.po and email-users-el_EL.mo and put into the language folder within the plugin (wp-content/plugins/email-users/lanquages)
My wordpress (version 3.4.2) display language is Greek (el) in wp-config.php, but still the display lanquage of the plugin is English.
    Can you help me to change the display lanquage of the plugin to Greek Lanquage;
    Thank you….

Have you checked the permissions of the files to make sure they match the other language files?

I forgot to say that i’ve installed wordpress for testing proposes in local server (xampp) and after that i’m going to upload the entire site on live server.

    The problem still remains.

Thanks in advance for your help Mike.

If want to send me the files I’ll drop them in my development area and see if I can see anything. You can send them to me using my www.remarpro.com username (mpwalsh8) at gmail.com.

    I figured it out.

    The problem is this :

    email-users-el_EL.po
    email-users-el_EL.mo

When i change it as my wordpress config file (el) :

    email-users-el.mo
    email-users-el.po

    everything seems to work perfect.

Thanks Mike for your time and for this great plugin.

P.S. Ι can share the translated greek files (mo & po) with you, το include them if you want to a newer version of the program.

What happens if you change your WordPress language to “el_EL”? Does WordPress still work and the plugin still work? I don’t know a lot about internationalization but from what I understand, the language setting should always be something like xx_XX. Does WordPress provide the Greek translation or have you done your own?

I would be more than happy to include the Greek translation if you’d like to send it to me.

    Hello again.

If i change the display wordpress lanquage to el_EL (wp-config.php) WordPress switch to English lanquage.

Yes, wordpress provide greek translation files for both the admin and front.

Thanks again Mike for your great plugin. I’ll sent you the translations files when i make them a little more accurate.

That makes sense – I should have looked at the WordPress language support first before asking that question. As you can see in the list of supported languages, the Greek translation package is just “el” so your naming of the translation file is correct. It looks like some of the languages use the xx_XX format but not all of them.
