    Hi,

I have today installed the plugin this works fine, but if we try to add a table on a post where the RankMath How-To Blocks are made the same can not find the headings,

Also, it’s clearly visible in the source code of the page that the headings are H2 or H3.

I am using the AMP as a standard mode, and have also tested the plugin this works perfectly with all normal posts.

Can you please help me as I can’t change my posts, most of the posts are How-To’s

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,

I see. Couldn’t you just add the heading as a normal block and remove the headings inside the RangMath Block? I could add a special case just for that plugin. But the beauty of SimpleToc is that it is simple and just looks for normal headings in the generated source. This should work with 99% of all plugins.

I respect that and like that as well, it works really well.

The problem is the SEO plugins have a How To Block that has H3 as a heading of the How to step have checked this on localhost as well and it won’t recognize the same, you can please recheck that. Inside a block, it won’t recognize. Check with Yoast also.

Can you leave the title empty in the FAQ Block and then add it manually via a headline block?

No, FAQ page could be just one I can do anything on that, the How-To Block if I leave the titles it would throw away an error on the search console at google. Structured Data Error Schema Missing.

    Loo here: https://github.com/mtoensing/simpletoc/blob/master/plugin.php#L121

I just look for heading blocks and nothing else. I would have to search in every block for a heading. I know this is possible but maybe someone has an idea to provide and easy and fast fix on github?

Saw that I think the plugin Rank Math gives a custom CSS and Div Class to the block here is a link of the How-To Block post :

    https://netnaps.com/how-to-web-stories-for-wordpress-plugin/

what you suggest should I send this to Rank math Support I can try that as well?
but I personally feel that many sites use SEO plugins like Yoast, Rank math and Yoast also has a custom class for its schema blocks,

otherwise, the plugin works well and I could only found this working for the AMP Plugin.

and I recommend submitting this plugin to the AMP Ecosystem Showcase officially.

No, the support will not help you. The only thing to make it compatible with simpletoc would be to make the headline in their blocks optional.

If I extend my plugin to search in other blocks except the headline blocks for H2, H3 and so on it would make it more complex. And I would have to make sure that this won’t lead to errors. I am really sorry but I can’t help you personally. But the plugin is on github. Maybe somebody has a simple idea to solve this with a solid solution. But I am not a full-time developer and can’t support this if this gets more complex. In this form the plugin will work every time because it is so simple. =/

I appreciate the honest answer from you, and thanks for making this plugin.

let that be! using it for all posts, not for the Special blocks,

Rank Math doesn’t have a pro version yet, once they launch and I buy that maybe they would help with some custom code.

I will surely update that if I could do something like an additional function code snippet.

    thanks

    Hi,

I have submitted a contribution to the same as a PR for Rank Math Support on the Github link provided above.

Now, I am working for the How-to Block support as well.

I have tested the same on both for Pro and Free Rank math Versions and AMP as a standard mode for Scores of SEO on-page, also on the NON-AMP version, Live Website.

    Thanks

    Rahul
