Problem with Thank You page

    Hello,

    We are working a web shop for a customer, recently we moved the website from development environment on to staging, that will eventually become production env.

    And noticed that the Thank You page does not display order information on the staging env, it works fine in devel. We made sure that the server is correctly set up, redirect and all work fine, the URL was correctly replaced in WordPress settings, they were also regenerated and with WP-CLI the URLs in the DB were also replaced.
    We also tried disabling all the plugins and going to default theme, and nothing changed.
    So I attempted to var_dumb the $order variable, and the order was type boolean (false).

    What could cause this problem? The orders and their details are visible and accessible on the Dashboard and the data in the DB looks normal.

    Let’s see if there is an error on the WooCommerce Logs. Kindly provide us the following:

    • System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
    • Fatal Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

    Sorry for the delayed reply here. Are you still having issues with your Thank You page?

    If yes, there may be a problem with the thankyou.php template on your staging site. You may want to compare it with the one on your development site for any noticeable differences. You can use a site like https://text-compare.com/ for that.

    You may also want to see if reuploading the file helps in case it’s corrupted.

    Hello,

    I tried comparing the development and staging tankyou.php file using vimdiff. The files were identical.

    We eventually fixed the problem by pulling the website from the development to staging again and going trough the process of replacing the URLs using WP-CLI and fixing the configs.

    I assume something went wrong when we initially copied the site. Or when we were initially setting it up.
