Problem with status name overwriting status slug

  • Currently it is not possible to modify the name of a status without changing it’s slug, too. This results in two problems.

    • If I’ve script code which uses the status slug (e.g. ‘expired’) and want to display the status name in another language (e.g. ‘Abgelaufen’), this is not possible.
    • In the german translation of WP the draft status is labeled with the name ‘Entwurf’. Changing the default status of Edit Flow to the ‘draft status’, this results in overwriting the label with ‘Draft’

    Is it possible to allow to edit the status slug separately from the status name?
