    Hi all,

I’ve just started using Stripe on my website. I tested it in Sandbox mode and the payment plugin seemed to work ok.

But now that I have it enabled in Live Mode, I keep getting messages saying that there is a problem with the Square Access Token and that I should disconnect my site and then reconnect it again.

I have tried exactly that, but the messages still keep coming.

I thought it might be something to do with “Square” being enabled, but I have disabled this and it hasn’t made any difference.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so what was the fix?

    Hi there @navegate4less,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand you are getting error messages about a problem with the Square Access Token and even after disabling the Square plugin itself, the error still shows.

This is indeed unusual, however, we’d like to have a better understanding of how your site is set up, please share with us the following:

    1. System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support then paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.
    2. Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs, then paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Once we have this information, we’ll be able to suggest further steps to troubleshooting the issue.

I had a look at the logs and saw the notice “Invalid Secret Key”

So I redid the Secret Key and got so far with the stripe setup and eventually realize that Stripe is much harder to set up than the likes of Paypal.

So I decide to disable Stripe and Square plugins, but I am still receiving the message about the Square Access Token. Not every day, but I am still receiving them.

Any idea how to stop them please?

    Hi @navegate4less,

I’m sorry to hear that you are still seeing the error message about the Square Access Token even after deactivating the plugin.

So I redid the Secret Key and got so far with the stripe setup and eventually realize that Stripe is much harder to set up than the likes of Paypal.

You can find a detailed guide on how to set up Stripe by WooCommerce here.

So I decide to disable Stripe and Square plugins, but I am still receiving the message about the Square Access Token. Not every day, but I am still receiving them.

This could be due to some residual data left in your WooCommerce settings after disabling the plugin. You can try clearing expired transients from WooCommerce > Status > Tools.

    I hope this helps.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
