problem with sorting

Can you update to 2.3.4?
It should work there.

I added a filter for get_the_categories.
It doesn’t really support parent and sub terms, they get mixed.
But it should work for you.

There’s another filter added for wp_get_object_terms and wp_get_post_terms.
