    Hi guys,

I have the following problem: The “some plugins were updated” e-mail automatically sent by WordPress is being delivered to “alexander@xyz.com,alexander@xyz.com” instead of “alexander@xyz.com”, resulting in the e-mails not being delivered at all.

I strongly assume this is due to the comma in between the two (identical) e-mail addresses.

As a plugin, we are using WP Mail SMTP by WPForms and SMTP.com is the SMTP service provider that we are using within the plugin.

Did anyone here encounter a similar problem and/or knows how to fix this?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,

    Alexander

    Hi @alexanderweis

    Thanks for reaching out.

WP Mail SMTP only determines the From Email Address and not the recipient. Also, WPForms requires a form entry to send emails, so you would instead need to adjust your admin email settings.

Please refer to this article in order to do so. This should resolve the issue (unless you have a different plugin that is altering the WordPress admin email address).
