Hi, since tonight I see the following text in my status bar (in my browser) when I try to load my wp-site https://www.goldentimessrl.org.

    Waiting for simplecdn.maxcdn.com …

It takes quite a while (such as maybe up to 30 sec. or so) when I try to load the site, in frontend, change a page, follow a link and so on… The problem seems to be only in frontend, but I didn’t change anything. I only updated comprehensive google maps plugin and Ultimate TinyMCE plugin.
I tried to disable both the plugins, but without results, and I think the problem isn’t here.

Linking with the browser to simplecdn.maxcdn.com the site is offline, very strange…

I am noticing this in Firefox as well as Chrome. (both newest versions).
Can you let me know what you feel might be the issue. It doesn’t appear to be related to a theme I’m using or anything like that. It just seems like it appears tonight.

    Thamk you in advance.

  • @duskom and handgold: Im also facing this kinda of unwanted problem. I was not seeing this err ever like now. I just only use MobilePress plugging!!! ??

Whenever I was visited this “simplecdn.maxcdn.com” URL it has nothing in online! so strange!!! Whats the problem in ? anybody know about it?

problem i have VISUALTRICKS i can’t actually find the code in my site with the jquery present?

Otherwise i would do the same, for now I’m stuck with a webpage broken. Not good ??

    Hi all,

I think it’s one of the TinyMCE plugins (Ultimate and/or Advanced). I installed both yesterday and since today I’m having the same performance issues as you guys. I deactivated both plugins and even deinstalled them … still slow.
So I decided to install a new wordpress instance and imported all my other plugins, themes and settings. Now everything works fine again!

I am not sure whether it is the TinyMCE this plugin, but it really looks like it…

    Cheers,
    DeMaddin

no. That plugin must just use the thing we are all discussing mate. My whole site is based on that, because i have a ‘slider’ present which scrolls across my projects.

You need to find all the references to https://cdn.jquerytools.org/1.2.5/full/jquery.tools.min.js in your site… some plugins and themes are calling it in the header (location varies of course).
Download a copy from https://code.google.com/p/jqueryjs/downloads/detail?name=jquery-1.2.5.min.js to your site (I placed mine in wp-includes for easy locating, and changed it’s name to jquery.tools.min.js) and change the reference to point to that location instead of to https://cdn.jquerytools.org/1.2.5/full/jquery.tools.min.js

This cdn going down is likely causing chaos all over the net… but at least it fixes it locally for the time being.

@scott White: THANK YOU so much for the explanation and provided fix. Do you know of any way to find out all the places our site is calling the cdn address?

Hi boys i had the same problem…and i solve it!
Try to delete the plugin reach snippets reviews.
be careful not deactivate the plugin, DELETE IT.

arm this sounds very odd. But mine just started working again!

its fixed itself!!! I did nothing

    @visualtricks:
Do you think once the site will be up again, we’ll have all fixed again? Or we have to find the jquery.tools.min.js file and upload on our server and call it in the php file?

Yes, it fixed itself! No more problems. Maybe, someone read our topic ??

@scott: that only solves the loading “lock” for the site, but it doesn’t fix things in your site that are using jquerytools (as you are loading jquery, not jqueryTools). Would be nice to a have a copy of full jquery.tools.min.js (1.2.5 or 1.2.6), I’m searching but found only older versions

seems cdn works again ?? I would take a backup copy of jqueryTools anyway…better safe than sorry ??

I am trying, but not able to find where the call is made

Oh i thought that the problem was that plugin.Maybe i delete it the same time with the fix.
