Problem with shipping and taxes

  • I have two tax rates, 16 % and 7 %. I also have set up a shipping class that is used for all products that have the 7 % tax rate.
    For shipping I have a flat rate and I have not entered a genereal price but instead entered the price for the shipping for products WITH the shipping class and for products WITHOUT the shipping class. The shipping cost for products WITH the shipping class is 390/107, and the cost for products WITHOUT is 390/116. For the last option I have set it up so that shipping cost is calculated by the highest tax rate once per order.

    Still, it is not showing the correct shipping cost, which should always be 3.90. It works if I only have products with 7 % or products with 16 % in the cart, but as soon as I have both in the cart, it shows a shipping cost of 4.23…what am I doing wrong? I don’t understand how Woocommerce is calculating this.

    Hi there,

    I’m having a hard time following the setup you’ve got. Can you share screenshots of how things are configured and what you’re expecting to see instead? Also, can you share direct URLs to the products in question in order for us to test the tax/shipping flow from our side?

    thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the website is not live yet, but here is a screenshot of the flatrate settings. I have two products, one with a shipping class and one without. The one with the shipping class has the reduced tax rate of 7 %, the one without the shipping class has the standard rate of 16 %. If I just add the product with 16 % tax rate to the cart, the shipping cost is calculated as 390/116 = 3.90. If I just add the product with 7 % tax rate to the cart, the shipping cost is calculated as 390/107 = 3.90. Both correct.

    But if I add BOTH products to the cart, the shipping cost is calculated in some bizarre way to 4.23 instead of still 3.90!
