Problem with sending trackbacks and pingbacks – error message possible?

  • Since some weeks I have problems with sending pingbacks and trackbacks with my blog (automated sended pings to blogs linked in articles and manually entered trackbacks in articles). Sometimes some of them goes out, most of the time not.
    I changed the time limit in cron.php from 0.01 to 1 and today I deactivated all plugins and functions, but still the same problem, I do not get out pings and trackbacks to the blogs linked in my articles.

    Is there any possibility to add some error messages so that I/we can get an idea what the problem can be?
