I have a problem with my rss feed.

I get this error:

“error on line 3 at column 6: XML declaration allowed only at the start of the document”

When I look at my source code through the browser, than I see two empty lines before my code starts.

I have looked through every wp-file and deleted every whitespace and row after the last line of code. I have disabled ALL the plugins and also tested the rss feed fix plugin, but the problem doesnt go away.

How can I fix this ?

something is whacked with this site
the rss button and social buttons aren’t “hot”
the error whooami linked to, etc.
then you have the host inserting a link into every page…

what happens if you switch to default theme? Does this stuff work then?

Hi, I’m running into the same problem. Exactly the same line too.

I don’t think it’s the php template, because (a) I ran things through the “fix rss” widget designed to fix blank lines and (b) even when I switch themes I still have trouble.

It may resolve the RSS error.

Yes, I used this plugin. It said it fixed things, but didn’t make a difference to my feed.
Also, if I switch another template, it doesn’t work either, so I suspect it isn’t the php files…?
