Problem with review stars visibility

I’ve searched but couldn’t see this reported before – so apologies if I’m reposting.
For some reasons stars aren’t showing on the “write a review” page – before a visitor has had chance to make a review (or show existing stars).
As you hover over you only get blocks of colour. I can send screenshots.
I’ve been searching and can’t see where to make amendments to the styling for this.
We do have some styling changes – but nothing I can see effecting the stars.
Any help appreciated.
