Problem with restoring a database

I have been using UpdraftPlus for years and it is very reliable for backing up. However when restoring, recently I received this message when attempting a WordPress restore: “Your web server’s PHP installation has these functions disabled: gzopen, gzread. Your hosting company must enable these functions before restoration can work. Failed to open database file.” So I cannot restore my my website for now. Do you know how I can fix this?
