• This scenario (three-step funnel):

    1. the customer enters the funnel landing page, from which he/she goes to the next step -> checkout
    2. as he/she is ordering access to the course, he/she has to create an account during the purchase (it is created for him/her automatically, he/her just has to enter the password)
    3. it turns out that the customer already has an account in the store, because he/she previously placed some order, but does not remember the password
    4. so he/she goes to the step of recovering the password – and this raises a serious problem, because:
    • the customer exits the funnel and enters the regular store page
    • there he/she changes the password and DOES NOT return to the funnel anymore – in a word, he/she stays on the store page (my account).

Can’t you somehow integrate changing the password in the funnel, so that the customer doesn’t land on another page and leave the funnel (I mean that all processes take place inside the funnel)?

Hi @urgul , thanks for sharing your case.

This is a unique case and difficult to handle. But we will invest some time into researching on this so see if it will be possible.

I will get back to you once we have conducted our research.

    Thanks.

    Hi @cssultan,

Thanks, it would be great if you could solve this problem, as it is quite problematic and very bad for UX.

In addition, after resetting the password, the customer can go to the shopping cart in the store (not in the funnel), where he/she will find the product added in the checkout step in the funnel, but there he/she will no longer receive the discount that is set in the WPFunnels funnel in the checkout step. This is an additional problem that should be fixed.

Hi @urgul , thanks for further clarifying the case.

Give us some time to research on this. I’m sure we will be able to come up with a solution in the near future.

    Thanks.

    Hi @cssultan

This is 100% feasible, see how FunnelKit solved this with Smart Login – this is exactly the solution I am asking you for. Both login and password change are done within the funnel. Such a solution would be amazing!

Hi @cssultan , it’s been a while, so I’d like to ask. Do you have any ETA for this feature? This is really crucial for UX, especially when a customer wants to buy another product using the same email address he/she used for a previous purchase (so he/she already have a customer account).

Hi @urgul , we haven’t planned for it yet.

We have a few crucial optimizations to work on immediately so I don’t think we will be able to work on it this month.

But I will discuss with the team, and see if we will work on this anytime soon.

    Thanks.
