• Hi,
    I have created simple newsletter subscription form as popup. Form has google reCaptcha.
    When trying to load the actial page where popup button exist, its does not loading and give the Error for recaptcha in the console.
    Removing recaptcha works fine…
    Also, not really sure if recaptcha is requared in popup form. Can it be found by spam bots?

  • Hey @koswebsite… can you confirm if this problem exists when trying to load the Elementor content editor on other (non-form) pages? I think it might be a problem with other pages too.

    And try changing your page template to Elementor Canvas (under Post Attributes) and see what happens then.

    Just trying to help you troubleshoot the problem here based on my own recent experience with this plugin. Let me know what you find, thanks.

    sorry, the pages loading ok… my mistake.
    It’s not loading Elementor Editor on the all pages, cause I have PopUp Button in the Global Footer. and I can Edit when Elementor Canvas selected, as it does not load Global Footer. Is it cause it’s trying to load Java twice or something like that?
    On the Console give me an error:

    Uncaught Error: reCAPTCHA has already been rendered in this element
        at Object.Jr [as render] (recaptcha__en.js:388)
        at s (frontend.min.js?ver=2.0.0-beta3:2)

    I am not sure why the Elementor Editor works for me when I change my page to use the Elementor Canvas (with this plugin enabled). I thought it might be a theme conflict or something.

    But maybe the problem goes away entirely if ReCaptcha is disabled completely in the base Elementor settings? I may try that and see.

    I was interested in this thread because I saw a similar error message in the console about ReCaptcha code. Really hope the plugin devs jump in with some comments soon.

    I’m using all this as part of Elementor 2.0 Pro Beta Testing with Elementor Hello Theme – it’s basically the Blank theme and hardly can cause any issues as there is nothing in it, absolute minimum. Header and Footer created with Elementor and assigned as Global Header and Footer – all part of Elementor 2.0 pro Beta.
    If I disable reCaptcha in Elementor, then, of cause this will work, but then how do I protect my forms from Spam? ;o) so I don’t think this is the option.
    so the bottom of the problem is – Elementor Editor can’t be loaded if PopBox button exists on the page with the reCaptcha field in the form of PopUp Box. O_o

    OK, I think I understand what you’re doing. Makes sense.

    My problem was that with the plugin enabled, *none* of my pages would load with the Elementor editor. Even pages with no forms or ReCaptcha stuff.

    Then I later found that by changing the layout from ‘default layout’ to Elementor Canvas, the editor would load just fine. But I haven’t tried this with a page using ReCaptcha. May not work, per what you are seeing.

    Good luck with your site.

    Another idea… try using a honeypot in the Elementor form *instead* of ReCaptcha.

    This allows me to have some spam control on the form and also doesn’t break the Elementor Editor… it loads fine on all pages and posts I’ve tried so far. I have the form with honeypot in my footer and blog sidebar areas (as widgets), so they load with all pages and posts.

    @koswebsite,

    Did you find the solution? I have facing the same issue. It’s not working in Firefox. The elementor page bulder is not working because of the error.

    @koswebsite,

    I see, Do you think it’s possible to load jquery twice in one page? Will try to resolve and let you know if find any solution.
