    Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing some issues with my WooCommerce site that uses Elementor for design and various plugins to manage functionality. My products are imported into my WooCommerce product when a customer searches for a specific product, via a plugin, from my supplier so I don’t have direct control over the images or product information. However, I’m encountering inconsistent behavior with the product images across different pages.

Here are the problems I’m facing:

    1. On some product pages, the images are displayed correctly.
    2. On other pages, I only see the thumbnails, and while they enlarge when clicked, they don’t show up as main images.
    3. On another set of pages, I have a main image and thumbnails, but clicking on certain thumbnails (like the third one) causes the image to slide off the screen.
    4. The resolution of the images appears very low until I use the zoom feature, where the resolution then appears fine. When i use featured image as product image the resolution is fine to.

    I’ve tried various solutions:

    • Adjusting WooCommerce settings in the customizer.
    • Changing the sizes of the product images.
    • Using featured images, though these aren’t consistently displayed.
    • Experimenting with different page settings.

Manually editing each image is not an option because there are more then a million products available.

Here are links to the pages with different issues:

    1. Third thumbnail slides off the screen when opened:?https://www.sedora.nl/product/w156596-pomp-leili-13mm/?inprod=1
    2. Only one small thumbnail that enlarges on click:?https://www.sedora.nl/product/5553145-nv99-099-koffiezetter-pomp-cplt/?inprod=1
    3. No image displayed although one is present:?https://www.sedora.nl/product/w78974-pompslang-koffiezetapparaat/?inprod=1
    4. Product images displayed correctly:?https://www.sedora.nl/product/h433776-bpx2-14l-pomp-met-behuizing-alternatef-voor-geschikt-voor-electrolux-140000738017/?inprod=1

Here’s a list of the plugins I have installed:

    • Code Snippets
    • EED SEO Add-on (supplier plugin for products)
    • EED WP Plugin (supplier plugin for products)
    • Elementor
    • Elementor Pro
    • Google Listings and Ads
    • Minimum Purchase Amount for WooCommerce
    • Ninja Forms
    • Quantity Field on Shop Page for WooCommerce
    • Rank Math SEO
    • Site Kit by Google
    • WooCommerce
    • WooPayments
    • WP Consent API
    • WP Rocket

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve these issues?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi @dijkmana,

Thank you for the detailed explanation on the issues you’re experiencing with your WooCommerce site.

I was able to check out the shared links, and it appears that the issues are related to the way your site is handling product images, and it could be due to a variety of factors including theme, plugins, or even the way the images are being imported via the supplier plugin.

To troubleshoot this, I would first recommend creating a backup then switching your current theme to a default theme like Storefront and check if the issues persists.

If the issue persists, try to disable all plugins except WooCommerce and your supplier plugin to see if the problem still exists. You can find more details on running a conflict test here.

Also, you might want to reach out to the support team of your Supplier plugin for further assistance.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello,

@ckadenge thank you for your response. I have tried the Storefront theme and experienced the same issues there as well. I then disabled all plugins one by one until only WooCommerce was active, and even with all plugins disabled, I still have this problem. I contacted my supplier’s support team, but they couldn’t find any issues with their plugin. Additionally, I tried various standard product page templates from Elementor and created a custom template, but none of these attempts have resolved the issue. The images continue to behave strangely.

    Hi again @dijkmana,

Thanks for getting back with further details on this. If I understand you correctly, even with the default theme (Storefront), the issue with the images persists.

Are you able to share more details on how the products are retrieved from your supplier to your site? The name of the plugin so that we can see if it is possible to try and replicate this on our test sites.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

That’s correct, even when I switch to the Storefront theme, I continue to have issues with the product images.

I can provide some explanation about the plugin from my supplier. I’m not a programmer or anything, so i might be wrong, but this is how it was explained to me. The EED plugin, which is only available to customers with a special contract from my product supplier, adds elements to Elementor that are connected to my supplier. Specifically, it includes a search field where visitors can enter their search terms, and a responder that displays the search results. When a visitor then clicks on a product, this product is added to my WooCommerce product list and is shown to the visitor on the single product page.

    Hi @dijkmana

It sounds like the problem could be related to your supplier’s EED plugin, especially since the issue persists even when you switch to the Storefront theme and disable all other plugins. The best way to determine this is to create some products manually and check whether the issue persists.

Furthermore, as the EED plugin is custom and not publicly available, it’s difficult for us to troubleshoot the issue directly. However, you could try the following steps:

    1. Inspect the page source and check the image URLs on the pages where the images aren’t displaying correctly. Try to open these URLs directly in a new browser tab. If the images don’t load correctly, the problem might be with the image source or how the EED plugin imports the images.
    2. The EED plugin might be importing images in a size that doesn’t match your WooCommerce settings, causing display issues. You could try adjusting the WooCommerce product image settings to match the imported image sizes.
    3. Since the EED plugin is a significant part of your setup, it would be best to reach out to the plugin developer for further assistance. Share the specific issues you’re experiencing and ask if they can provide any insights or solutions. Please note that we don’t provide help & support for 3rd-party plugins or themes as they’re outside our support scope.

I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get the job done.
