    and
    [printfriendly]<span class=”print-only”>[table id=10 datatables_tabletools=”true” /]</span>

    Hi Kate,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with that Printfriendly plugin, so I won’t be able with that, but I’ll happily try to help with that TableTools Extension issue.
Can you please describe where you had those issues with the Polish characters?
Also, an you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

thanks for the link! From what I can see everything work fine here…
When I click the “Print” button in the toolbar above the table, I only see the table on the page, and I’m asked to use the browser’s Print function. When I do that, the Polish characters show up just fine…

    Tobias

    Hi Kate,

ah, thanks for those screenshots! So you are actually refering to the “PDF” button here and not the “Print” button.
Unfortunately, I can confirm the issue there, the Polish characters disappear. However, as this feature is coming from the external DataTables TableTools library (thus, it was not developed by me), I don’t know what causes this or how it can be fixed ??
The same goes for adding an icon or title to the PDF file. This might be possible by directly using some DataTables API functions, but I’m not sure.

I think, the best approach here would be to generate a PDF file offline (e.g. in Excel) and offer that for download directly.
Sorry for not having better news.

    Regards,
    Tobias
