    Good morning,

We recently set up a poll in our widgets’ right sidebar. Visitors are allowed to vote only once (verification through IP) and everything works fine including once the vote is taken into consideration and the results appear.

However, every time we load the page after that, instead of loading the page normally, it drags you automatically to the poll results, almost like you just voted.

I’m not sure I’m making myself clear, but basically, once your vote has been taken into consideration, and once you get on the page, even days after your vote, instead of loading the page normally and letting you see the top of the page as it should, you automatically get dragged to the poll’s results all over again, at the bottom of the page.

Is there a way to fix this? I noticed the problem only appears with the pie chart display, not with the bar graph display, but unfortunately the bar graph display doesn’t work out for us.

    Thanks so much,
    Elodie

    Hi @wireofhope

I hope you are doing well.

I tried to replicate the issue on my end but it worked fine,

Can you share your form and we can take a closer look?

Upload it to Google drive and share the link.

    Hi Patrick,

Just to make sure we’re talking about the same thing, it’s a poll, not a form we’re having a problem with. It shows the same behavior on my laptop (Windows), my mobile device (Android) and on my business partner’s phone (iOS).

Here’s the link to the export:

    Thank you!

    Hi @wireofhope

Thanks for response and sharing the poll.

I admit I’m a bit unsure about the case:

    1. I’ve imported the poll to my test site which is a default WordPress installation with just Twenty Twenty-One theme and Forminator currently active. I’ve added “Forminator widget” to footer widget area and I could see poll in footer on front-end. I gave mu vote and could see poll result. But it never “dragged” me to this area of the page when I reloaded it or visited again after going to other pages on site or even after going to other website and back.

    2. I then just voted on your site’s homepage. I got back to the page and was not scrolled to the poll/poll results as well. Though on your site I actually didn’t even see poll results anymore after voting – did you set it to not show there?

I’m thiking that maybe I’m testing it wrong way or we are misunderstanding the issue here. Would you be able to record a short video/screencast showing how this is behaving for you then?

if you could share such video with us it would be great. I hope it would give us some additional clue on what is happening or, at least, let me confirm if I tested it correctly.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for your help, actually without even knowing, you just solved my problem, thank you! ?? Just so you know, you were indeed on the wrong page, the poll was not on the front page of the site but on the page I indicated in my first message.

But there’s something you said that made me realize that the widget we used was not a “Forminator Widget”, it was a text widget in which we copied the poll shortcode! When I realized that, I did a test with the Forminator Widget you mentioned, and now it works perfectly. Thanks so much, I was able to set up the poll on all of our pages again, without any issue.
