Problem with PHP 8 (No posts on start page)

    colormag has a problem with PHP 8, a site I maintain stopped showing posts on the home page after it got a PHP 8 upgrade. This was reproducible (when I deactivate PHP 8 there is no problem). Setting in the customizer was “Last Posts”. However, when I choose static page as the setting, the last posts are shown.

    Have you checked by deactivating the third-party plugins for PHP 8? Please upgrade your PHP to PHP 8 and check your site once by deactivating the third-party plugins. This is because some of the plugins might not be compatible with the latest PHP creating a conflict with the theme and causing such an issue.

    If the problem still exists then please let me know.

    yes, I have disabled all plugins. It is definitely the ColorMag theme.

I have the same issue. Site has been fine for years but now the front page is not showing any posts.

I found that if you select ‘A Static Page’ it shows latest posts, correctly.
If you select ‘Your latest posts’ it is blank.

Looks like a bug.
