    Hi Carosch,

You can set the permalink under Events > Settings > Pages > Permalink Slugs.

You can’t set /events/category1/ explicity, you need to use something inbetween to give events/categories/category1.

    Hi,

so ‘categories’ is the correct syntaxe to replace automatically ‘categories’ by the category name in the permalink slug ?

and that will fix my breadcrumb problem too ?

    (@carosch)

    I’ve put
    events/categories

and all my events becoming 404…

    help

what the syntax for events to have permalink that display:
    mydomaine.com/events/#_CATEGORYNAME/#_EVENTNAME
    ?

Are you re-saving your permalinks (Settings > Permalinks) after making changes?

    Thread Starter carosch

    (@carosch)

yes, of course I save every time i make a modification

    So I recapitulate:
permalink setting for Events in EM plugin : Agenda/categories
the url is now: mydomaine.com/Agenda/categories/[the event name]
    ->no category_name appears
    &
the breadcrumb is Accueil/événements/[the event name]
the breadcrumb did not take any permalinks settings…
however the breadcrumb follow some of plugin’s informations, e.g. when I am in a location, the breadcrumb is: Accueil/Emplacement
or like said before, for an event Accueil/événements/[the event name]
BUT, nothing works for a list of events by category.
the breadcrumb display something that makes no sense
Accueil/[a wp category that doesn’t exist anymore]

    What I have done wrong?

Let’s forget the breadcrumb problem for now. It may be that’s being caused by the permalinks problem, so let’s fix that first.

First thing is to make the permalinks all lowercase (not Agenda but agenda, etc.)…

    (@carosch)

    done!

    Thread Starter carosch

    (@carosch)

    and now ?

what is the next step ?

    (@caimin_nwl)

Does the /agenda/ part of your permalink match the page you have set as the “Events page” under Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives?

    Hello,

here is my situation now :

I use a wp page with CONTENTS word to display all the events, and the breadcrumb for the all events page is not ok. I have :
    Accueil / Page name
    I want :
Accueil / Agenda / Page name

I use a wp page with CONTENTS word to display events by category, and the breadcrumb for the events by category page is not ok. I have :
Accueil / Page name / Page name
with the first “Page name” link redirect to the list of categories
    I want :
Accueil / Agenda / Category name

For a single event, I have a breadcrumb with :
Accueil / événements / event name
    I want :
Accueil / événements / category name / event name

Here are the permalinks settings in EM permalinks setting page :
    événements : nothing
    Emplacements : events/locations
    Catégories : nothing
    Mots-clef d’événement : events/Tags

I miss something for sure, but what ?

It seems like the permalinks and breadcrumb are totally different things with EM.

are you using a plugin or theme to generate the breadcrumbs? also, since EM is using custom post type and custom taxonomy your plugin or theme generating this should support cpt and custom taxonomy.

    Hello

I’m not using any plugin to generate breadcrumb.
My breadcrumb is from Enfold theme.
And because my problem comes only while consulting events pages, the theme support send me to you.
So, am I the only one who have problems with breadcrumb ?

You need to set something for événements, you cannot just leave it blank.

    The same thing for categories.

Am I correct in thinking you’re using two different events list pages with CONTENTS in them? If so, that may also be causing problems. Use CONTENTS in your main Events page and the events_list shortcode to create the second list:
