• I’m having trouble with the permalinks on my website which started after WordPress was automatically updated on my website. My permalink settings were set to the “post name” type and everything was working perfectly. However, after the update, when I clicked on some of the pages I was taken to an error page. I then changed the setting to default and now all of the pages work fine except for my search page. How can I fix this issue and go back to using the post name settings?

  • If you visit Settings > Permalinks and change back to Post Name, then save, does this solve your problem?

When you “Save Changes” on this screen, it’s supposed to flush and redo your permalinks to reflect any changes, so it’s often a good place to start with permlinks problems.

I am having the same problem with the Permalink Settings. I saved the Permalink Settings and there was no change. When editing a page and I click view page, my home page opens. This is the permalink for one of my pages and it opens the home page, https://www.wallowology.org/?page_id=491. All the other Common Settings in the Permalink Settings yield a 404 Error.
