Problem with “payment_intent.succeeded” webhook event and latest API

    With Stripes latest API version (2022-11-15) the “payment_intent.succeeded” webhook event no longer works (charge object has been removed) and results in a 500 error for cards that require 3D secure.

    Raised this will Stripe and there’s no way to downgrade the API version in Stripe Platform.

    Thanks for chatting with me earlier. I understand you reached out because you were having issues with payment_intent.succeeded webhook event. 

    I appreciate you allowing me time to look into this inquiry of yours. Jumping right into your concern, this issue may be related to the recent removal of the charge object on the payment intent, so with this, when you copy the API request, the API version are different thereby giving this error. You can refer to this document for more information:

    In order to resolve this, you can try to make the webhook display the event in an older version, or you can create a new webhook via the api and specify the version they want it to render the event in. You can refer to this link:

    I can see you’ve taken the matter to GitHub. May I ask if you’re seeing any errors when test ordering with a card that needs authentication?

    @spencernash did you find a solution? I seems many ( including me ) have the same problem, and the plugin supporters doesn’t really do anything else then ask questions…
