Problem with ordering
-
Hi from Germany,
first of all: Absolute fantastic idea. Enables me to provide json data to other websites or apps in a snap. Really appreciated!!!I found a little issue with the Query Builder, though: The values of the Ordering Section are not properly saved. No matter what I select, it always shows ASC and ID. Could you probably check that?
While talking about this: Would be great, if we could Order by values of custom fields as well. Your plugin already finds all of my custom fields created by Advanced Custom Fields Plugin, so that should be an easy fix for you.
To make this gem even more exciting, please allow me to drop in my two cents.
1.:It would be fantastic, if you could incorporate some sort of authentication, for example check against a token or something, like wp-json/rest-routes/v2/123456?token=some_token_value_here. With that, you could even provide some more or less sensitive data via the rest routes plugin.
2.: It would be also great, if we could get a route for Userdata as well. I mostly think about capabilities and stuff. Imagine the following: Having a mobile app, where a user logs in with his usual wordpress credits and a route spits out all capabilites this user has. Depending on this capabilities, I can make for example a link list with several of the created routes.
To cut a long story short: Thank you for yor effort. I hope You find the time to maintain this plugin furthermore, because it simplifies dealing with the REST Api a lot.
