• I just setup the plugin and gave it a try on our test server and all went well until I started noticing broken images on older articles.

We used 480×280 and 640xH sized images in the past but no longer create these image sizes when we upload new pics as those sizes are no longer used in our theme.

Using the sync however it regenerates the thumbnails on the GCS with the new sizes defined in wordpress but does not regenerate the old thumbnail sizes that we do not use anymore. Per example image1-640×512.jpg is no longer found, instead only image1-696×562.jpg is found on GCS.

The obvious solution would be to add the old sizes to the list of thumbnails to generate but this obviously adds a lot of additional data – and a lot of unnecessary data as for all images after 2015 this is not needed. Is there another solution?

I tried adding the old sizes as new thumbnails a try but that didn’t work quite so well either. Somehow the old file was image2-640×426.jpg but the new 640px width file generated is -640×427.jpg, one pixel larger…

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

I have tested this on my side and everything looks fine, could you please send me your WP credentials and I will take a look on my side: usabilitydynamics.com/contact-us
