problem with notification emails sent by wordpress

  • hello.

    After moving to a new server I am getting these comments in moderation notification and they are empty. after checking the headers, I see this error:

    X-Amavis-Alert: BAD HEADER SECTION, Duplicate header field: "MIME-Version"

    and indeed the email contains these headers:

    Message-ID: <[email protected]>
X-Priority: 3
X-Mailer: PHPMailer (phpmailer.sourceforge.net) [version 2.0.2]
MIME-Version: 1.0
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8"

    what could be wrong? is this a wordpress problem or is it maybe a Phpmailer problem?

    Any hints? any other info you need from me?

    Why is the Mime header duplicate? why is the email completely empty? why is there no subject?

    – seems like phpMail is sending through the local installed mta, using sendmail format right? me running postfix that means it could be me causing this trouble by a misconfiguration of postfix, right?

    – on my wordpress installs not the wpmu, whenever I open a table with phpmyadmin I get these warnings:

    PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column "umeta_id"
    More than one INDEX key was created for column "user_id"
    More than one FULLTEXT key was created for column "slug"
