Problem with Menu navigation

How did you set up your menu?

@Kadence Themes Member…I created a Main Menu and added my pages to it. Then I checked the boxes “Auto Add Pages…” and “Secondary Navigation” in “Theme Locations”.

As to how I have gotten this far on my blog creation…it’s been “one step forward and two steps back” and “trial & error”! ??

It isn’t showing that I replied to this on the support home page. My latest reply is above.

I’m not sure I understand what the issue is? Can you explain what you want in the menu? If you don’t want pages but instead what archives then you would need to add archives…

My post only displays on the category page if I click on the link underneath the post title. It takes me to the category page and shows my post. If I click on the category page in my menu at the top of my home page, it takes me to that category page, but my post isn’t there.

If you go to my site you’ll see what I’m talking about. Click on the “Recipes” page from my main menu. Then go back to my home page and click on the “Category” link “Recipes” underneath the post title.

This link is to your home page, not the category page. The ?cat=4 in the query string filters the posts to that category.

This link is to your category page. Check that you set the page template drop-down to blog, and that in the Blog List Options box that you set the category to recipes.
