Problem with latest update

  • There appears to be a problem with the latest 1.0.54 update.
    The warning emailed from WordPress is:

    An error of type E_PARSE was caused in line 461 of the file /homexxxxxxx/public_html/account1/xxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/seo-by-rank-math/includes/admin/class-serp-preview.php. Error message: syntax error, unexpected ')'

    The effect is content pages which open in the editor with no content displaying, but ok at the front end.

    I rolled back to the previous version and it fixed the problem.

    We’ve observed the same with our Woocommerce products. Content does not show in editor and frontend works OK. Disabling/Downgrading the plugin fixes it.

    We received an email from Woocommerce too.

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Please update to the latest version, 1.0.54.1, that should fix the issue.

    The issue was happening on websites where the PHP version was 7.2 or less than that.

    We highly recommend upgrading to at least PHP 7.4
