Problem with installing WordPress on a server that is my subdomain

I am installing a wordpress instance on my server blog.mini-shred.com.

The server is hosted by godaddy and during the install process it doesn’t let me specify that the server is anything other than mini-shred.com. Here is what I know:

The actual install is at blog.mini-shred.com/main
The site can be accessed at blog.mini-shred.com/main

The admin for the site is here: https://blog.mini-shred.com/main/wp-admin/

Because the install thinks that it was installing to the root domain the admin page tries to redirect you to: https://mini-shred.com/main/wp-admin/

Thus, I am unable to do any management of the site. What is the easiest way to fix this?
