Problem with install

I downloaded and installed wordpress. I am getting the following error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting ‘)’ in /home/a1836876/public_html/wordpress/wp-includes/deprecated.php on line 176

I haven’t touched the file, I used exactly what was downloaded. Do I need to change this?
