• Hello,

I am using JCH optimize on several websites and i like it very much. The only problem i am having is on optimizacijasajta.org when new version of plugin is released and when i update plugin through WordPress dashboard.

So when i update plugin, website design is totally ruined and broken. I have searched on Google and on support pages about this, but still couldn’t find out why this is happening.

Finally i have found out that after updating plugin, folder permissions and file permissions are changing – folder permissions to 755 and should be 775 for all plugins to work normally. This is happening every time when i update JCH optimize to latest version.

When i change them back to 775 everything is working as usual.

I hope you can help me with this, i have contacted hosting provider and they told me to contact author of this plugin (you). Let me know if you have any idea why this is happening.

    Thank you in advance,

    best regards,

    Branislav

Generally the permissions recommended for folders are 755 and for files 644. I suspect WordPress is applying those permissions during the update but it appears that on your server you need 775 for things to work normally so you would need to update the permissions after an update.

    Hello codealfa,

Thank you very much for this info.

I am already doing it that way after every update of JCH optimize, although it is a bit strange because on the same server on another website with same template, plugins and settings it is not happening with JCH optimize.

Never mind anyway i will do as you have suggested.

    Best regards,

    Branislav
