Problem with “includes XX” not translating to Danish

I can confirm same issue. WooCommerce 4.2.2.

Same problem here. Doesnt translate to Estonian. Waiting for solution ??

@booklysql @sasafriedrich @nardus @modkid @jakajaka @gianlucaantonini I’m in discussions with the developers about this now, but we’re still having difficulty replicating the issue. Can you all post screenshots of your tax settings? Specifically, we’re looking to see what you have set in the Tax Options tab (WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax options) and either Standard Rates or Reduced Rate Rates, whichever you’re using. If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few options:

Thanks @nardus. Alright, that should be enough info regarding the tax settings. Feel free to post in the issue itself, though. The more traffic it gets, the more likely the devs are to prioritize it.

Hi all. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread, as the issue has been passed on to the developers and we’re just waiting for them to address the issue at this point. The issue is here on GitHub. I’d encourage you to follow along there to keep up with our progress on it, and please feel free to upvote it and leave a comment saying you’re also experiencing the issue. The more activity the issue generates, the more likely the devs are to prioritize it.

I just recently started using WP and came across the same issue and found threads that are years old but no one pointing out what the issue is. When you look at the file class-wc-countries.php(woocommerce), then you’ll find the hardcoded issue. There are a few functions like inc_tax_or_vat and ex_tax_or_vat. Basically there is a list of VAT countries which get VAT displayed and all other countries have hardcoded Tax.
Changing those functions is no good as it gets removed after an upgrade of woocommerce. However, the functions reveal what text is used which can be translated. So try this:

They should really fix this and build in an option to override this or use the existing setting for your tax name. There are many countries where you just have one tax to deal with and it would had been great if you could just set it.
